As the weather warms up, we tend to hit the road more for adventuring in the sun. Many people find themselves with dead car batteries in the spring. Temperature changes alter the chemicals inside the battery cell, which can cause them to die. Our technicians can perform voltage checks to see how much power is left in your battery. It’s a good idea to do this about twice a year if your batter is three years old or older.
Another very important thing to check is your oil filter. Spring means blooming flowers and pollen, and all of these contaminants can clog up your filter. If it looks blackened at all, it’s time for a replacement! While some owners choose to do their own oil changes, it’s always a good idea to let a professional handle it so that you know it’s done correctly.
Wiper blades are something most people don’t consider very important, but they can literally mean the difference between high and low visibility. If they are old or damaged, they may leave streaks on your windshield that makes it nearly impossible to see through. They should be changed out every two to three years but you can do it sooner if spring afternoon rain showers are catching you struggling to see.
